Happy Mother's Day!!! to Heleen and my mom

Am busily reading George R. R. Martins's Songs of Fire and Ice. Currently in the third book --
-- Storm of Swords
Good stuff. Initially fairly low magic, medieval style world. As the books go onward the magic seems to be picking up. Also full of plot twists and unexpected deaths among the large cast of characters.
