Rolemaster Rulings: Spell Modification

In my continuing simplification of the add-on mechanics - I have ruled that only one source of modification (either Fixed or Variable) can be applied to a spell being cast.

Fixed modifications include spells that change range -or- number of targets -or- duration -or similar aspects.

Variable modifications are done via Spell mastery skill.

(In a similar vein, Spell Mastery can not be applied to a completed magical ritual. The mastery effects must be "baked in" to the ritual calculations.)

When using a Spell Store, normally the spell ESF or Mastery would be rolled prior to storage. In our case (a PBEM) we roll when the spell is cast from the store.
