Dawn continues to amaze 

Not a very good cell phone shot (at a red light on the way to work) but the clouds on the horizon are backlit by the sun creating some wonderful pinks and purples.

Mum brought Christmas cake 

My personal holiday favorite - English style Christmas Cake - basically fruit cake (raisins, currants, sultanas in a thick batter) topped with marzipan and royal icing. Yum! Memories of Christmas' past. (Our Wedding cake was this style as well.)

Outpost Night 

Got a chance to play the new edition of Outpost with 5 people this evening. Used the old board for some nostalgia feel. We now all remember that the math is a headache in Era III. My wife won with a total of 95 (she ended the prior turn at 73 and the refill rolls were all small stuff, like Ecoplants, so she grabbed Robots, restocked a bunch of factories and clobbered us).
